Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Northlands Primary School & Nursery!

Welcome to Northlands’ website!

I am so proud to be the Head Teacher of an amazing school with a wonderful community, hidden away in the heart of Rugby.

I am confident that our site will provide you with the information you need in addition to sharing almost all (there are so many) of the achievements and enriching experiences of our pupils and community.

Northlands is a vibrant and diverse school that has the community at its heart: we are often described as one 'big family'. We provide a happy, stimulating and nurturing environment for our pupils, parents, carers and staff - ensuring everyone reaches their potential.

A proportion of our pupils speak English as an Additional Language and we support them as they settle in the UK, learn English whilst also encouraging their home language skills too.

Our School Vision encapsulates our VALUES and ETHOS:

One Community Many Cultures Achieving Together

Our VALUES School Vision Statement illustrates our commitment to our community:

One Community Many Cultures Achieving Together

At Northlands we welcome, value and include all parts of our diverse community, to which we belong. Children, parents, staff, volunteers, governors and local people work together harmoniously to build and strengthen respectful relationships.

At Northlands we value, respect and accept everyone by promoting the discovery of culture, diversity, traditions, values and beliefs. While embracing difference, we strive for equality.

At Northlands we challenge barriers to learning in our commitment to providing everyone with the opportunity to fulfill their potential aspirations. Together we prepare our children for a life of learning by encouraging, empowering, challenging and celebrating success.

Our staff are committed to developing a love of learning and we believe that this is best achieved when working in partnership with parents and families. We have an ‘open door’ policy where everyone is confident to approach a member of staff on the playground or visit our School Office to make an appointment to meet with a member of our team.

Learning happens when pupils, families and staff feel happy and well – we support all members of our community to this end.

Please feel very welcome to contact our School Office and arrange an appointment: we would be delighted to take you on a tour of our beautiful school site!
